For Shapewise, the offline drawing-accuracy test for Android
Shapewise collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and nothing to buy; the app requests no Android permissions and never opens a network connection. Your attempts and your best scores stay on the handset.
Shapewise is made and published by Pitt Build Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which releases its apps under the name BlueMeadow Labs. Where data protection law refers to a data controller, that company is it — a role with nothing to administer, because the app gathers nothing.

Drawing means putting a trace of your own movement on the screen, so it is worth being exact about what happens to it. The path your finger takes is held in memory while the attempt is scored and drawn against the ideal shape, and is released when you start the next one. No attempt is written to a file, no gallery of your drawings exists, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is compared with anyone else's.
What survives an attempt is a number: your best percentage for that shape. The stroke itself is gone.
An app that measures hand steadiness looks like it might say something about your health. It does not, and it must not be read that way: it is not a tremor test, not a neurological screening tool and not an assessment of any condition. A score depends on your screen size, whether you used a finger or a thumb, how you were sitting, and how much you had practised the motion, at least as much as on your hand.
If you are worried about a change in your handwriting, your grip or your steadiness, that is a conversation for a doctor, not a phone game.
A small file in the app's own private storage, holding scores and settings only:
Nothing in it identifies you: no name, email address, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier or device identifier. The file never leaves the phone and we never see it.
Each shape is scored by a formula compiled into the app, applied identically on every device and every attempt. Nothing is adjusted based on how you have been doing, and no difficulty is tuned to keep you playing — which would make a personal best meaningless. The app draws your line over the ideal one precisely so the number can be checked by eye.
No advertising library, so nothing plays between attempts, nothing must be watched to try again, and no advertising profile is built from how you play. No analytics library and no crash reporter, so no usage events, session logs or crash traces leave the handset — we do not know your scores or how often you open the app. No billing library, so no shape, hint or retry is for sale and no payment data exists. No account, no leaderboard, no sharing.
Shapewise requests no Android runtime permissions: not camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notifications.
None. The whole app is compiled into the download, so it opens no connection to our servers or anyone else's and behaves identically in aeroplane mode. Nothing leaves the handset to be intercepted, and nothing arrives that could change how it behaves after installation.
Installing or updating Shapewise is a transaction between you and Google, handled under Google's own privacy policy and its agreement with you. What reaches us is the aggregated, anonymous developer console view — installs, ratings, country totals — which identifies nobody.
If a future version ever touches the network, this page is rewritten before that version is published and the change stated plainly.
Drawing shapes with a finger suits any age. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children, and there are no adverts, no chat, no sharing, no links out and nothing to buy.
Under the UK GDPR, and the EU GDPR where it applies to you, you have rights of access, correction, erasure and portability over personal data a company holds about you, and a right to complain to a supervisory authority. Each of those needs data to act on, and none of yours is held here — we will confirm that in writing if it is useful.
Your best scores are removed by resetting them in the app, clearing the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling Shapewise. Nothing survives elsewhere, which also means a record cannot be restored by us or moved to a new phone.
Complaints can go to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though writing to us first is usually quicker.
This page is updated only when the app changes in a way that affects privacy, and the date near the top changes with it. Builds already installed keep behaving exactly as described.
A score that looked unfair, a shape that behaves oddly on your screen, a privacy question: trace@pittbuild.store, read by the person who wrote the app, usually answered within a couple of days.
This policy covers the Android application Shapewise (com.drawgauge.shapewise) and no other software.
